10 am - 4pm A great introductory price to a New Workshop at Studione.. Only £40 for a day! Spinning Bob Cushion Cover: Introduction to Foundation Paper Piecing What is Foundation Paper Piecing? Matt will show you how to use foundation a paper templates to outline which fabric goes where, then stitch both the paper and the fabric together along dotted lines. Remove the paper, and voilà — you have a perfectly pieced block! This technique enables you to achieve a level of precision that’s pretty tough to pull off with traditional piecing. Learn to piece and quilt this ‘Spinning Bob’ quilt block and then make it into a simple envelope back cushion cover. Refreshments provided mid morning & afternoon. Call Becca on 07486062343 Fabric Requirements (to make one 14” x 14” block): Background ½ metre of quilting weight cotton Colour #1 7 ½” x 9” (blue in sample) Colour #2 6 ½” x 9” (grey in sample) Colour #3 5 ½” x 8” (turquoise in sample) Other Equipment: Sewing Machine – bring your own or make use of one at the shop Open-toe presser foot (provides better visibility of the stitching line) Size 90/14 sewing machine needle (any needle will work but the 90/14 pierces a larger hole that helps perforate the paper so it is easier to remove later Thread – standard 50WT or finer in a neutral colour Postcard – a sturdy piece of card 8” or 12” quilting ruler 6” Add-A-Quarter Ruler – this is invaluable if you plan to do a lot of FPP. We can offer a refund for your booking for 70% of the cost of the workshop, (less 30% for administration) if your cancellation is more than 14 days in advance, After 14 days & before 7 days this will be 50%. If you need to cancel less than 1 week before the class you will loose all your booking costs. If you book a course & miss a day this is non refundable. With this in mind we do offer however a chance for you to book onto another date of the same class for half price. This offer is valid for 6 months form time of cancelation. Alternatively, you could opt for a friend to go in your place, just let us know the name of your elected replacement!
