Thursday 5th March 10am - 3pm Refreshments provided mid morning & afternoon. Bring a packed lunch or pocket monry for one of our amazing independent cafes in town. Introduction to Shibori Resist Dyeing using Natural Indigo Dye This is a fun introduction to Shibori pattern design. You will learn to use simplesewing techniques and how to bind, fold, clamp and wrap fabric in many ways to create your own unique designs. If you wish, you can bring along items that are white, pale or natural coloured made from natural fibres – fabric, clothes, pillowcases etc in cotton or linen work best. Make sure these have been washed thoroughly, even if they are new, to remove any dressing present in the fibres. Fabric will be available for you to use. All equipment will be provided including disposable gloves. Please bring an apron to wear or wear old clothes/shoes in case of any indigo spills or splashes. Why not use your fabric you have designed and dyed to make a 20cm lampshade. You can bring your own fabric for this class if you wish – measurements need to be 67cm long x 25cm Check the home page for next class. 10am – 3pm £45 Plus £10 on the day for the dyes. We can offer a refund for your booking for 70% of the cost of the workshop, (less 30% for administration) if your cancellation is more than 14 days in advance, After 14 days & before 7 days this will be 50%. If you need to cancel less than 1 week before the class you will loose all your booking costs. If you book a course & miss a day this is non refundable. With this in mind we do offer however a chance for you to book onto another date of the same class for half price. This offer is valid for 6 months form time of cancelation. Alternatively, you could opt for a friend to go in your place, just let us know the name of your elected replacement!
